Five parties have been pre-qualified namely ABB Switzerland, Areva T&D France, Illgen Korea, PEL Pakistan and Siemens Pakistan/Germany.

ABB, Switzerland,  Illgen Korea and Siemens have already undertaken Due Diligence of the plant. Other parties are being requested to complete Due Diligence soon as bidding is planned in the month of June, 2008.

Pre-bid meeting was scheduled on 2nd June 2008 in which all the pre-qualified parties were represented except ABB Switzerland which had informed of their no further interest in the transaction.
