In exercise of its criminal jurisdiction under this Ordinance, the High Court shall-

(a) |
in trial of all offences before it follow the procedure provided for in Chapter XXIIA of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 (Act V of 1898); and |

(b) |
in addition to the powers already vested in it, exercise the powers as are vested in the Court of Sessions under the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 (Act V of 1898). |
