CHINESE VICE PREMIER TO VISIT PAKISTAN NEXT MONTH

The Chinese Vice Premier will visit Pakistan in June 2010 to further promote
the existing friendly and brotherly bonds between the two countries. Mr. Luo
Zhao Hui Ambassador of People’s Republic of China to Pakistan said during a
farewell meeting with Senator Waqar Ahmed Khan Federal Minister for
Privatisation here today.
Mr. Mr. Luo Zhao Hui Ambassador of People’s Republic of China to Pakistan who
is leaving back home after serving more than three years in Pakistan said that
the frequent interaction between the top leadership of both the countries at
all levels have helped to accelerate pace of projects like JF-17 Thunder
aircrafts, Gawadar Sea Port, Chashma Hydro and other projects. The President
of Pakistan Mr. Asif Ali Zardari and the Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani
attached great importance with regard to relations with China. President
Zardari, Prime Minister Gilani, Madam Speaker and all Chiefs of Armed Forces
visited China to further strengthen the relations between the two countries,
he added.
Senator Waqar Ahmed Khan Federal Minister for Privatisation lauded the
services rendered by Mr. Luo Zhao Hui Ambassador of People’s Republic of China
during his stay in Pakistan, which he termed, have now entered into joint
strategic and economic ventures. The friendship with the government and the
peoples of People’s Republic of China was everlasting and an asset for
Pakistan, he said.
The Minister said that Pakistan has historical and deep rooted relations with
China having strong foundations laid down by the founder of Pakistan Peoples
Party Qauid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and further cemented by Shaheed
Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and the present PPP led government was determined to
further deepen these relations while in the past our public sector
collaboration with China in Kamra, Saindak, Ghazi Brotha, HMC Taxila, Sports
Complex and Gawadar Deep sea Port projects reflected our close friendly bonds.
