FEDERAL SECRETARY FOR PRIVATISATION SHAHAB KHAWAJA RETIRES

Mr. Shahab A. Khawaja a career civil servant with 36 years of experience in public sector management and one of the senior most Federal Secretaries of the Government of Pakistan retired today. Currently he was serving as Secretary Ministry of Privatisation. He has served as Federal Secretary, Ministry of Industries, Production and Special Initiatives for three years before joining as Secretary Privatisation. Apart from that he has also served as Chief Executive Officer Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA).

Mr. Khawaja belongs to the District Management Group. He has served as Assistant Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner in various districts of Pakistan. He has a degree of Masters of Science and another in Development Administration. He is a widely traveled person. He has represented the Government in a large number of international and bilateral meetings, seminars and workshops.

The Officers and Consultants of Ministry of Privatisation and Privatisation Commission bid farewell in his honor today.
