ITALIAN PRIME MINISTER VISIT TO BOOST ECONOMIC RELATIONS WITH PAKISTAN

The Italian Ambassador to Pakistan Mr. Vincenzo Parti called on the Federal Minister for Privatisation Senator Waqar Ahmed Khan here today.

Senator Waqar Ahmed Khan urged the Italian companies to visit Pakistan and identify areas of interest under the Privatisation Program, which provided numerous opportunities in Energy, Power, Oil & Gas, Transport and infrastructure sectors.

He said that the World’s investment houses of international repute were being taken on board through a transparent process to underwrite the active 23 entities in the Pakistan’s Privatisation Program to upgrade, add value and make them profitable prior to taking them to the market.

The Italian Ambassador to Pakistan Mr. Vincenzo Parti informed the Minister that the Italian Prime Minister’s visit to Pakistan was being scheduled, which would further boost economic relations between the two friendly countries. The proposed visit would also help in brining the private sectors of two sides closer to identify areas of interests in each other’s countries. Mr. Shahab Khawaja Secretary Ministry of Privatisation was also present in the meeting.
