CABINET COMMITTEE ON FUND RAISING FROM BUSINESS COMMUNITY FOR EARTHQUAKE RELIEF – RS. 8.4 BILLION RELIEF MOBILIZED

§         947 companies, Pakistan Missions, chambers, sectoral association/ forums and
      Overseas Pakistanis were contacted.


§        
239 have responded so far while others are also contributing – may inform later.

§        
Rs. 8.4 billion mobilized for the earthquake relief as on 28th October, 2005.

§        
Rs. 6,618 million has been raised for the President’s Fund, Rs. 140 million to
      other Relief Funds and contribution in kind worth Rs. 1,703 million.
