HAFEEZ SHAIKH LEAVES FOR JORDAN TO LEAD PAKISTAN IN CONFERENCE ON 'TERRITORIALITY & EXTRA-TERRITORIALITY: INSTRUMENT FOR CHANGING ATTITUDES

Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh Federal Minister for Privatisation & Investment  left today for Jordan on an official visit on the invitation of Prince Hasan Bin Talal to lead Pakistan in two-day Conference being convened in Amman on 6-7 March, 2005 under the theme, 'Territoriality and Extra-Territoriality: Instruments for Changing Attitudes'. The Conference has a preliminary task for setting up of a 'Concept Group', which will pave the way for establishment of 'Asia Africa Forum' (AAF). Pakistan is an important country in the region and can play a vital role in bringing the region's countries together. The discussions and deliberations in the Conference would lead to concrete actions and tangible results in promoting economic, social and political cooperation among Afro-Asian countries. During his visit, Dr. Hafeez Shaikh will also hold meetings with potential investors in Jordan and address the business community to inform about the economic environment and opportunities available in various sectors.
