A delegation of Yum Restaurant Int'l (YRI) led by its President Mr. Graham
Allan meeting with Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh Federal Minister for Privatisation
& Investment here today.
The leader of the delegation Mr. Graham Allan informed the Minister that his
enterprise intended to explore the retail revolution and investment
opportunities in Pakistan and to double their existing presence. YRI operates
in Pakistan through its partners over 50 restaurants of Pizza Hut and KFC.
Mr. Graham informed the Minister that YRI being the largest restaurant chain
in the world has a turnover in excess of US $ 25 billion.
Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh assured the delegation of all possible support as per
the country's liberal investment policy, which was open, provided investment
protection being investor's friendly and gave equal opportunities and level
playing field to all investors in all the sectors.
Pakistan provided maximum incentives in the region to the foreign investors
for better quality services to the people of Pakistan and to bring in the
private sector for the over all economic uplift of the country, he stated.
The delegation included Mr. Emil Mondo from Yum headquarters in Dallas USA,
Mr. Irfan Mustafa Vice Presdent and Mr. Niegal Belton CEO.
