SEVENTEEN PARTIES EXPRESS INTEREST FOR PECO LAND PURCHASE

The Privatisation Commission (PC) has received seventeen (17) Expression of Interest (EOI) from parties interested in the purchase of the Blocks 'A' & 'B' land owned by Pakistan Engineering Company Limited (PECO), (Badami Bagh Works), Lahore, on an "AS-IS-WHERE-IS" basis through competitive bidding process. This includes ten (10) parties for Block 'A' and seven (7) parties for Block 'B' land.

PC has offered the interested parties to participate in the bidding process for purchase of the land at Badami Bagh, Lahore. The property has been offered in two (2) lots namely Block A (159 Kanals, 07 Marlas and 207 Sq.ft.) and Block B (100 Kanals 12Marlas and 144 sq.ft). The plot of PECO, Badami Bagh land is situated in the South of Lahore Railway station and in  the North of Badami Bagh Railway station. This is a commercial area, accessible by roads and railway siding. The site is ideally located in the heart of thriving steel market of Badami Bagh. The Badami Bagh timber market is also in close proximity of the site.

The parties interested in purchase of Block 'A' PECO land include 1. Aqeel Karim Dhedhi Securities Pvt Ltd, 2. Bara Ghee Mills, 3. Kohinoor Oil Mills Ltd, 4. M. Jamil Khan (Hino Rawalpindi Motors), 5. Maghrib Development Corp. Pvt Ltd, 6. Professional Associates & Dave Cross Architects, 7. Nawaz Khan Trading Company, 8. Sadaf Enterprises, 9. Seatrade Group and Sukh Chayn Gardens (Pvt) Ltd. While seven parties have shown their interest in the purchase of Block 'B' of PECO land, which include 1. Barister Khawaja Tahseen / Asim Siddque Butt 2. Bara Ghee Mills, 3. Kohinoor Oil Mills Ltd, 4. M. Jamil Khan (Hino Rawalpindi Motors), 5. Nawaz Khan Trading Company, 6.  Sadaf Enterprises (Ship Breakers & Importers) and 7. Sukh Chyan Gardens (Pvt) Ltd. The final date for bidding will be shortly announced and conveyed to the parties participating in the process.
