BRUNEI ENVOY MEETS HAFEEZ SHAIKH

The Brunei Darullsalam Envoy to Pakistan Haji Mustapa Haji Sirat called on Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh Federal Minister for Privatisation & Investment here today in his office.

The envoy discussed the matters pertaining to the bilateral visits of investor delegations from private sector of both the countries and the establishment of Joint Investment Agency. He said that Pakistan being in the process of opening up all the sectors for investment with greater incentives has developed a positive impression among the private sector around the globe.

Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh said that the recent visit of Sultan of Brunei Haji Hassan al Balkiah Muizuddin would open a new era of friendship and would lead to enhance economic cooperation between the two countries by attracting investors from Brunei to avail the investment opportunities being offered by  Pakistan. Dr. Hafeez Shaikh was Minister-in-waiting during the three day official visit of Sultan of Brunei to Pakistan.

He hoped that the talks between the leadership of both the countries would initiate a consultative process for the promotion of trade and investment. The continuity and consistency of the economic and structural reforms in Pakistan have helped a lot to restore the investors' confidence, he added.
