Mr. Salim Gul Shaikh who has been promoted to BS-22 has assumed the charge
of his new assignment as the Secretary Ministry of Privatisation here today.
He has vast experience of serving in various Government
Departments, Corporations within the country and abroad during his career.
Prior to his joining Privatisation Division, Mr. Salim Gul Shaikh a senior
officer of Information Group was serving as the Executive Member of the
Pakistan Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) since its inception in March 2002.
He had headed Ministry of Information & Broadcasting as Additional Secretary
incharge, Secretary Information Government of Sindh and also served as the
Press secretary to the President of Pakistan, Director General External
Publicity Wing, Deputy Managing Director Pakistan Television Corporation and
Pakistan's Missions at London and Washington. He joined the Information Group
in 1971 through CSS.
