Bidding for the sale of LPG assets of SNGPL was held at the PC in Islamabad on Feb-23-2001. 5 firms pre-qualified for the sell off. Those declared pre-qualified were BOC gases, Foundation Gas, POL, Shell Gas, SHV super gas. Shell Gas was the highest bidder with a bid of Rs. 142 million. The cabinet had okayed the invitation of fresh bids for the LPG business of SNGPL on Sep. 13 -2000.
