Financial Advisor for KESC selected

The Privatisation Commission together with the Asian Develoopment Bank (ADB) has appointed Pricewaterhousecoopers (PWC) to act as the Financial Advisor for the privatisation of Karachi Electrical Supply Corporation (KESC). The agreement in this regard was signed on April 20th, 2001at the ADB headquarters in Manila

PWC has been mandated to complete the privatisation by June 2002. PWC has a history of bringing highly successful privatizations especially in the power sector and will devote its resources to ensure a smooth handover of KESC. KESC is responsible for supplying the electric supply to the whole of Karachi.
